Yujia Shi was born in Xi 'an, China. She is currently studying at fina art, Chelsea College, University of the Arts London. During my undergraduate study, I studied Chinese landscape painting at Xi 'an Academy of Fine Arts.

In December 2022, I displayed the art installation "Mirror" in unit 1 of Chelsea College. Through the investigation of art works and literature works related to diseases and patients, I became interested in the philosophy of death and conducted preliminary research. Based on these researches, I made this work of thinking about my life.

I also have some interest in artistic healing, which focuses on the spiritual needs of people. I made a work about a home in memory, focusing on those who live far away from home. I think most people focus on those vulnerable groups, such as people with depression. And ignored the mental state in the sub-health of the "ordinary" group.

Fina art is a new field completely different from the traditional Chinese landscape painting in my undergraduate period. This is my new starting point, with the field of learning. How to find the bridge between the two periods of different learning content will also be my next goal.
